David was displeased with the Lord, not with himself. He blamed God, not David.<\/p>\n
How often do we bring upon ourselves merited censure and merited hurt, and then we blame God for it.<\/p>\n
The same sun that burns, lightens our pathway. The same electric current that sends a bolt of death through the one who crosses its pathway, sends power to the one who harnesses it.<\/p>\n
The God Who slew Uzza, and Who slew Christ, is the same God of Whom it was said: "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men."<\/p>\n
"Behold, therefore the goodness and the severity of God." If we believe, if we receive, if we obey, goodness: if we reject, if we refuse, if we disobey, severity.<\/p>\n
"He that believeth hath everlasting life."<\/p>\n
"He that believeth not shall not see life."<\/p>\n
A Levite, carrying the Ark–alive, blessed, rewarded.<\/p>\n
Uzza touching the Ark–judged, condemned, dead in the road.<\/p>\n
Had David read the Book of God, that gave minute instructions as to how the Ark should be taken, there would have been no breach made upon Uzza.<\/p>\n
Let us seek causes. Let us examine the "why" before we blame results.<\/p>\n
