The King<\/p>\n
"My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the King: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer" (Psa_45:1).<\/p>\n
There are many who imagine that the Second Coming of Christ is a doctrine of pessimism. There are those who say the pre-millennialists are like frogs, croaking in the night; that they see nothing but gloom and picture nothing but disappointment. We readily grant that the pre-millennialists concede the collapse of man’s day. We do preach, and Scripturally preach, that the age has its ending in catastrophic and cataclysmic judgments. However, the pre-millennialist has the only sane, Scriptural and secure optimistic note that can be sounded.<\/p>\n
After all, the question is not one of pessimism or optimism; the question is one of, "What does God say?"<\/p>\n
When we consider the calling of our Lord Jesus as a Bridegroom King, we are literally swept from our feet with glory.<\/p>\n
Our key text begins: "My heart is inditing a good matter." The word means–"my heart is bubbling up with a good matter." The same thought is given in Psa_39:3 : "My heart was hot within me; while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue."<\/p>\n
When the vision of Christ’s coming as King, grips the life, the heart bubbles up and the tongue overflows with praise.<\/p>\n
O hear the singing, joy bells ringing,<\/p>\n
Singing of the coming King;<\/p>\n
The chorus swelling, glad news telling,<\/p>\n
This the message that we bring.<\/p>\n
