The peace in Christ Jesus is "the fruit of the Spirit" (Eph_5:22). How useless it is to seek the graces of Christ apart from the Holy Spirit of Christ. A bitter fountain cannot bring forth sweet water.<\/p>\n
There are many exceedingly precious Scriptural promises concerning "peace." The leader might emphasize these in a most helpful way.<\/p>\n
1.\tConsider God, as the God of peace, in a threefold way. <\/p>\n
1.\tThe God of peace make your perfect (see Heb_13:20-21). <\/p>\n
2.\tThe God of peace sanctify you wholly (see 1Th_5:23). <\/p>\n
3.\tThe God of peace shall bruise satan shortly (see Rom_16:20). <\/p>\n
2.\tConsider the peace of God, as the gift of the God of peace. <\/p>\n
4.\tThe peace of God which passeth all understanding (see Php_4:7). <\/p>\n
5.\tLet the peace of God rule in your hearts (see Col_3:15). <\/p>\n
3.\tConsider Christ the perfection of peace. <\/p>\n
6.\tThe Prince of Peace (see Isa_9:6). <\/p>\n
7.\tThe Lord of peace (see 2Th_3:16). <\/p>\n
8.\tHe is our peace (see Eph_2:14-15). <\/p>\n
4.\tConsider how Christ left us peace. <\/p>\n
9.\tMy peace I give unto you (see Joh_14:27). <\/p>\n
10.\tPeace be unto you (see Joh_20:19). <\/p>\n
11.\tThe fruit of the Spirit is peace (see Gal_5:22). <\/p>\n
5.\tConsider how peace should be proclaimed. <\/p>\n
12.\tPreaching peace by Christ Jesus (see Act_10:36). <\/p>\n
13.\tThe Gospel of peace (see Rom_10:15). <\/p>\n
14.\tAcquaint now thyself with Him and be at peace (see Job_22:21). <\/p>\n

18.\tFollow peace with all men (see Heb_12:14). <\/p>\n
19.\tBlessed are the peacemakers (see Mat_5:9). <\/p>\n
20.\tI will both lay me down in peace and sleep (see Psa_4:8). <\/p>\n
We quote a beautiful little poem from the German author Gerhardt Ter Steegen, which has been blessed to many lives.<\/p>\n
