The Church As a Bride&#8211;Salvation in Anticipation<\/p>\n<p>&quot;For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the Church&quot; (Eph_5:31-32).<\/p>\n<p>The Church as a building carries us to the Cross, the Church as a body carries us to the risen Christ, and the Church as a bride carries us to the coming of the Bridegroom. Eve was taken from Adam&apos;s side&#8211;the type of the Cross; then she was presented unto Adam and a marriage occurred&#8211;the picture of the Church, which Christ will present to Himself as a Bride, without spot or wrinkle.
