God considered sin as so heinous as to merit death. In Habakkuk we read, "Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity" (Rom_1:13). Man hugs sin to his heart. Man plays with sin. He follows it as one follows a mirage. God considered sin so heinous as to demand the death of His Son in order to save the sinner. The lesson of today gives us a study of sin from six distinctive viewpoints. Most of the subdivisions may prove unpleasant to consider, but they are important.
