One in Holiness<\/p>\n
"A God of troth and without iniquity, just and right is He" (Deu_32:4).<\/p>\n
1. God the Father Is a Holy God<\/p>\n
"O righteous Father" (Joh_17:25).<\/p>\n
"Holy Father" (Joh_17:11).<\/p>\n
"The Holy One of Israel" (Isa_55:5).<\/p>\n
No one has ever questioned that God is a righteous God; that He is Holy, and a God of truth, without iniquity.<\/p>\n
His eyes are too holy to behold iniquity, His character is too pure to fellowship with sin.<\/p>\n
Our God is a God Who dwells in light unapproachable.<\/p>\n
All men have sinned and all have fallen short, far, far short of His glory.<\/p>\n
2. God the Son Is a Holy God<\/p>\n
"Ye denied the Holy One" (Act_3:14).<\/p>\n
"Therefore that which is begotten holy of thee, shall be called the Son of God" (Luk_1:35, marg.).<\/p>\n
"I am * * the truth" (Joh_14:6).<\/p>\n
There is only one basis upon which Jesus Christ can verify His claim, and the claims of others that He was holy, and that is upon His Deity.<\/p>\n
Our Lord could say, "Which of you convinceth Me of sin?" He knew no sin, He did no sin, and in Him was no sin. He was the Holy One, just the same as God the Father was the Holy One.<\/p>\n
3. God the Holy Spirit Is a Holy God<\/p>\n
"His holy Spirit" (1Th_4:8).<\/p>\n
"The spirit of holiness" (Rom_1:4).<\/p>\n
"The spirit of truth" (1Jn_4:6).<\/p>\n
It is not necessary to search the Scriptures long to discover that the Spirit is holy.<\/p>\n
He is called the "Holy Spirit" time and time again. He is inherently holy, therefore He is God.<\/p>\n
We believe that the expression, "Holy, Holy, Holy," found in Isaiah 6, and in Revelation 4, is a statement of the Triune God, because the words give a thrice-repeated adoration to the holiness of God.<\/p>\n
Once more we bow our hearts with adoration as we acknowledge that the Lord our God, is one Lord.<\/p>\n
