Why la It Wrong to Harbor Angry Feelings?<\/p>\n<p>God forbids it (Ecc_7:9; Mat_5:32; Rom_12:19) ; it is a characteristic of fools and a work of the flesh (Gal_5:20; Pro_12:16; Pro_14:29; Pro_27:3; Ecc_7:9). Anger is connected with pride, cruelty, clamorous and evil speaking, malice and blasphemy, strife and contention (Pro_21:24; Gen_49:7; Eph_4:31; Col_3:8; Pro_21:1g; Pro_29:22), and brings its own punishment (Job_5:2; Pro_19:19). Scripture teaches us that grievous words stir up anger, that it may be averted by wisdom and that meekness pacifies (Jdg_12:4; Pro_29:8, Pro_15:1).
