God called Abram from the land of idolatry to go with Himself to a land of promise\u2014Heb_11:8. See from Deuteronomy 8 what kind of land it was. Those who believe in Christ are called\u2014<\/p>\n
1. From the darkness of sin and ignorance, to the knowledge and light of God\u20141Pe_2:9.<\/p>\n
2. From the bondage of legalism (doing things because we ought) to the liberty of the Gospel\u2014Gal_5:13.<\/p>\n
3. From the turmoil of unrest and disquietude, to the peace and quietness of reconciliation with God\u2014Col_3:15.<\/p>\n
4. From the death of spiritual death of trespasses and sins, unto eternal life\u2014Joh_5:24.<\/p>\n
5. From the unholiness of the self life to the holiness of fellowship with God\u20141Pe_1:15.<\/p>\n
6. From the wrangling of self-interest, to partnership with Christ\u2019s sufferings\u20141Pe_2:21; 1Pe_3:9.<\/p>\n
7. From the uncertainty of the future, to the \u201ceternal glory\u201d in Christ\u20141Pe_5:10.<\/p>\n
Let us walk worthy of our calling\u2014Eph_4:1; and make it \u201csure\u201d by our obedience\u20142Pe_1:10.<\/p>\n
