100. Christ As the Boy of Nazareth<\/p>\n
Luk_2:40-52<\/p>\n
How many stars shine in the sky of Christ\u2019s early days as the Boy of the humble home of Nazareth.<\/p>\n
1. The Growing Child. The Child grew. He was supernatural in His being as \u201cThe Son,\u201d but He was perfectly natural in His childhood.<\/p>\n
2. The Strong Spirit. \u201cWaxed strong in spirit.\u201d The spirit nature in man is evidenced in his individuality and in his intelligence\u20141Co_2:11.<\/p>\n
3. The Wise Mind. \u201cFilled with wisdom.\u201d To be wise is good, but to be filled with wisdom is better. Wisdom is the right application of knowledge.<\/p>\n
4. The Graced Boy. \u201cThe grace of God was upon Him.\u201d<\/p>\n
5. The True Israelite. He went with His parents to Jerusalem to keep the Passover\u2014Luk_2:41, Luk_2:42.<\/p>\n
6. The Tarrying Lad\u2014Luk_2:43. The reason why He tarried is given by Himself. He felt He must be about His Father\u2019s business\u2014Luk_2:49. The consciousness He had come into the world to do a definite work was pressing upon Him.<\/p>\n
7. The Missed Son\u2014Luk_2:43-45. The parents of Jesus lost Him in one day, and it took three days to find Him. They supposed He was with them, but suppositions do not make realities. It takes a longer time to recover our blessings than it does to lose them.<\/p>\n
8. The Central Figure\u2014Luk_2:47. He was found \u201cin the midst\u201d of the doctors, \u201chearing them, and asking them questions.\u201d<\/p>\n
9. The Higher Relationship\u2014Luk_2:49. How startled Mary must have been when she heard the words: \u201cWist ye not I must be about My Father\u2019s business?\u201d especially following her statement: \u201cThy father and I have sought Thee sorrowing.\u201d<\/p>\n
