101. Christ Crucified<\/p>\n
There are several ways in which the crucifixion of Christ is spoken of.<\/p>\n
1. The fact of it. The manner of His death. The fulfilment of Scripture\u2014Joh_19:18-24.<\/p>\n
2. The place where He was crucified: \u201cWhere our Lord was crucified\u201d\u2014Rev_11:8; Luk_23:33.<\/p>\n
3. The sinful act of crucifixion. The word, \u201cto crucify\u201d in Act_2:23, means to fix with ill intent and act.<\/p>\n
4. The associates of His crucifixion were two thieves\u2014Luk_23:32, Luk_23:33.<\/p>\n
5. The crucifixion of Christ is the theme of the Gospel\u20141Co_1:23-24; 1Co_2:2; Gal_3:1.<\/p>\n
6. The subjective power of the Cross is death to self, sin, the flesh, and the world\u2014Rom_6:6; Gal_2:20; Gal_5:24; Gal_6:14.<\/p>\n
7. The grave consequence of apostasy from Christ is to make Him bleed again\u2014Heb_6:6.<\/p>\n
