In Isaiah 53<\/p>\n
53__1. He was a Bearing Substitute, for \u201cHe hath borne our griefs\u201d (Isa_66:4).<\/p>\n
2. He was a Crushed Substitute, for He was \u201cwounded,\u201d \u201cbruised,\u201d and chastised (Isa_66:5).<\/p>\n
3. He was a God-punished Substitute, for Jehovah \u201claid on Him the iniquity of us all\u201d (Isa_66:6).<\/p>\n
4. He was a Silent Substitute, for \u201cHe opened not His mouth\u201d (Isa_66:7).<\/p>\n
5. He was a Sinner\u2019s Substitute, for \u201cHe was numbered with transgressors\u201d (Isa_66:12).<\/p>\n
6. He was a Sin-made Substitute, for He was made \u201can offering for sin\u201d (Isa_66:10).<\/p>\n
7. He will be a Rewarded Substitute, for \u201cHe shall see of the travail of His soul and be satisfied\u201d (Isa_66:11).<\/p>\n
