1. \u201cThe God of all Comfort\u201d comforts us by His Word\u20142Co_1:3-7, R.V.<\/p>\n
2. The Lord Jesus comforts us by His work. The word \u201cAdvocate\u201d in 1Jn_2:1, is the same as used of the Holy Spirit as the \u201cComforter.\u201d<\/p>\n
3. The Holy Spirit comforts us by His presence\u2014Joh_15:26.<\/p>\n
4. The Word comforts us by its assurance\u2014Mat_9:2, Mat_9:22; Mat_14:27; Mar_10:49; Joh_16:33; Act_23:11. The words \u201ccheer\u201d and \u201ccomfort\u201d are the same.<\/p>\n
5. Brethren comfort us by their fellowship\u2014Rom_1:12.<\/p>\n
6. The ministry of the Word is meant to comfort or help those who listen to it\u2014Eph_6:22; Col_4:8, Col_4:11.<\/p>\n
