226. Coming of Christ<\/p>\n
In 2 Thessalonians 2<\/p>\n
Paul supplements and expands the truth of Christ\u2019s Coming in his second letter.<\/p>\n
1. Vindicator of the Tried\u20142Th_1:4-7. Mark the words \u201cpersecutions,\u201d \u201ctribulations,\u201d \u201ctroubled,\u201d \u201csuffer.\u201d He will trouble the troublers, and tribulate the tribulationists.<\/p>\n
2. Punisher of the Godless\u20142Th_1:7-9. Those who know not God, and the disobedient, will be banished from His glory and presence, into \u201ceverlasting destruction.\u201d<\/p>\n
3. Glorifier of His Saints\u20142Th_1:10-12. Clothed with His beauty, like Him in glory, and with Him in power, the saints will be admired by those who once afflicted them.<\/p>\n
5. Gatherer of His Own\u20142Th_2:1. As a mother bird gathers her young under her wings and feathers, so the Lord will assemble His own to Himself.<\/p>\n
5. Destroyer of the Man of Sin\u20142Th_2:8. In the \u201cbrightness of His Coming\u201d the wicked one will be made to see his sin, and will be crushed to his undoing.<\/p>\n
6. Completer of Salvation\u20142Th_2:13. That salvation is described as \u201cthe obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ\u201d (2Th_2:14), which means being \u201clike\u201d Him.<\/p>\n
7. Patient One Satisfied\u20142Th_3:5, R.V. He is waiting to be with us and then the Patient One will be satisfied.<\/p>\n
