The doctrines of the Bible may be summarised under ten sections. The Bible, God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, Man, Sin, Salvation, the Church, Angels, and the Last Things.<\/p>\n
1. What is it? The Word of God\u20142Ti_3:16, 2Ti_3:17.<\/p>\n
2. Who inspired it? The Holy Spirit\u20142Pe_1:20, 2Pe_1:21.<\/p>\n
3. Who were the instruments used to write it? \u201cThe prophets,\u201d \u201cHoly men\u201d\u20141Pe_1:10, 1Pe_1:11.<\/p>\n
4. What was the purpose of its revelation? To reveal Christ\u2014Joh_5:39.<\/p>\n
5. What are the two themes of its unfolding? His sufferings and glory\u2014Luk_24:26, Luk_24:27.<\/p>\n
6. What does it do? \u201cDiscern (criticise) the thoughts and intents of the heart\u201d (Heb_4:12).<\/p>\n
7. What does it impart? Life\u20141Pe_1:23.<\/p>\n
