380. \u201cGlory\u201d<\/p>\n
The Bible says a great deal about \u201cglory.\u201d Glory is the excellence of anything in display. The Heavens declare the glory of God\u2019s creative skill. The miracles of Christ displayed the glory of what He could do\u2014Joh_2:11. The following things \u201cof glory\u201d will further illustrate:<\/p>\n
1. \u201cHope of Glory\u201d (Col_1:27). Christ within is the pledge of glory without.<\/p>\n
2. \u201cBody of Glory\u201d (Php_3:21, R.V.). When Christ comes He will make His own like to Himself.<\/p>\n
3. Partners of Glory\u2014Luk_9:32; Col_3:4; Eph_1:18. The scene on the Mount of Transfiguration is a pattern of things yet to be. We shall be with Him.<\/p>\n
4. \u201cLiberty of the Glory\u201d (Rom_8:21, R.V.). Creation is to be brought into the liberty of the children of God. Creation is bathed in tears and blood, but it will be blessed and free.<\/p>\n
5. \u201cPresence of Glory\u201d (Jud_1:24). Christ will \u201cpresent\u201d (\u201cset\u201d) His own \u201cfaultless before the presence of His glory.\u201d<\/p>\n
6. \u201cThrone of Glory\u201d (Mat_25:31). The glory of His throne will extinguish all the lights of every earthly throne.<\/p>\n
7. \u201cAppearing of Glory\u201d (Tit_2:13, R.V.; 2. Thess. Tit_2:8). We are looking for the shining forth of our great God and Saviour as the coming of Him who is \u201cthe Blessed Hope.\u201d<\/p>\n
