1. \u201cGo, and sin no more\u201d (Joh_8:11) is the Saviour\u2019s word of direction to the sinner whom He frees from condemnation. For the world\u2019s doom is the precursor to departure from sin\u2019s domination, as Israel found when they were commanded to leave Egypt\u2019s association, having escaped its judgment.<\/p>\n
2. \u201cGo in peace\u201d (Luk_7:50) is the benediction which falls upon the pardoned one\u2019s ears. No more is sin to ruffle, Satan to tear, the world to traffic, the flesh to mar; but Christ\u2019s own peace is to reign supreme within the heart, however many temptations may rage without.<\/p>\n
3. \u201cGo in this thy might\u201d (Jdg_6:14). The Lord\u2019s promised presence was to be Gideon\u2019s guarantee that he should save Israel. The foe was strong and numerous, but the Lord, the Mighty Man of valour, was with His servant, hence his victory was certain.<\/p>\n
4. \u201cGo… and preach the Gospel\u201d (Mar_16:15). Here is the Lord\u2019s definite command to the Church as to her mission in the world. Her mission is not to amuse the world, nor herself, but to proclaim the glad tidings of the faithful saying, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.<\/p>\n
5. \u201cGo, shut thyself within thine house\u201d (Eze_3:24). The prophet was prohibited from speaking further to rebellious Israel. He was to find comfort in seclusion, and to pour out his heart in supplication. The secret place of the Lord\u2019s presence is the cure for every ill.<\/p>\n
