Work without God is always profitless, and brings benefit to none.<\/p>\n<p>2. \u201cWatch in vain\u201d (Psa_127:1). Human measures need Divine might.<\/p>\n<p>3. \u201cMedicines&#8230; in vain\u201d (Jer_46:11). Human productions cannot heal sinful maladies.<\/p>\n<p>4. \u201cBelieved in vain\u201d (1Co_15:2). The fact of Christ\u2019s resurrection is the basis of our faith. If He is not risen, there is nothing in which it can rest, it therefore must be in vain.<\/p>\n<p>5. \u201cRun in vain\u201d (Gal_2:2). The recognition of those who are in authority is essential to the possession of authority.<\/p>\n<p>6. \u201cChrist is dead in vain\u201d (Gal_2:21). Christ having bore the curse of the law in His death for us, we are freed from its curse and consequences.<\/p>\n<p>7. \u201cWise&#8230; in vain\u201d (Jer_8:8).
