1. Confidence. \u201cLeft all he had in Joseph\u2019s hands\u201d (Gen_39:6). He had proved himself worthy of confidence, therefore his conduct commanded greater trust.<\/p>\n
2. Apostasy. \u201cThey left all the commandments of the Lord\u201d (2Ki_17:16). To leave some of the commandments was bad, but to leave them all was worse.<\/p>\n
3. Devotion. \u201cWe have left all, and have followed Thee\u201d (Mar_10:28-29). Renunciation for Christ brings reward from Him.<\/p>\n
4. Consecration. \u201cHe left all and followed Him\u201d (Luk_5:28). What a contrast to the rich young ruler who was not willing to leave all\u2014Luk_18:22.<\/p>\n
