532. \u201cLook Upon\u201d<\/p>\n
1. Inspection. \u201cThe priest shall look upon it\u201d (Lev_13:43). An illustration of Christ inspecting the sinner to make him conscious of his guilt.<\/p>\n
2. Appreciation. \u201cLook upon the face of thine anointed\u201d (Psa_84:9). God appreciating Christ, and blessing us for His sake.<\/p>\n
3. Compassion. \u201cLook upon mine affliction\u201d (Psa_25:18; Psa_119:132). The Lord sympathising with His people in their affliction.<\/p>\n
4. Confession. \u201cWhat is Thy servant that Thou shouldest look upon a dead dog as I am\u201d (2Sa_9:8). So says every contrite heart.<\/p>\n
5. Qualification. \u201cThe Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might\u201d (Jdg_6:14). When the Lord sends forth, He fits, furnishes, and encourages.<\/p>\n
6. Recollection. \u201cLook upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord\u201d (Num_15:39). Observe to practise.<\/p>\n
7. Retribution. \u201cThe Lord look upon it, and require it\u201d (2Ch_24:22). Men\u2019s sins, in God\u2019s judgment, will surely find them out.<\/p>\n
