2. The Word of Promise, for He has pledged not to \u201cfail\u201d us nor \u201cforsake\u201d us (Jos_1:5).<\/p>\n
3. The Oath of Promise\u2014Jos_1:6.<\/p>\n
4. The Prosperity of Promise\u2014Jos_1:7.<\/p>\n
5. The Success of Promise\u2014Jos_1:8.<\/p>\n
6. The Joy of Promise\u2014Jos_1:9.<\/p>\n
7. The Command of Promise, for when the Lord commands us to \u201cbe of good courage,\u201d He will give the courage He commands\u2014Jos_1:18.<\/p>\n
W. T. Stead, of the Review of Reviews, has left on record, as to the influence of this chapter upon his life: \u201cIf I had to single out any one chapter which I am conscious of having influenced me most, I should say the first of Joshua, with its oft-repeated exhortation to be strong and to be very courageous.\u201d<\/p>\n
