The Description of Satan in Revelation 12 Once he is called \u201cthe great red dragon\u201d (Rev_12:3), once \u201cthe great dragon\u201d (Rev_12:9), six times \u201cthe dragon\u201d (Rev_12:4, Rev_12:7, Rev_12:7, Rev_12:13, Rev_12:16, Rev_12:17), once \u201cthe old serpent\u201d (Rev_12:9), twice \u201cthe Devil\u201d (Rev_12:9, Rev_12:12), once \u201cSatan\u201d (Rev_12:9), and once \u201cthe accuser\u201d (Rev_12:10).<\/p>\n<p>2. The Synagogue of Satan identifies him with religious circles\u2014Rev_2:9; Rev_3:9, in his work among those who profess the Name of Christ.<\/p>\n<p>3. The \u201cSeat\u201d of Satan, where he dwells, speaks of his power to oppose the truth and persecute God\u2019s faithful ones\u2014Rev_2:13.<\/p>\n<p>4. The \u201cDepths of Satan\u201d Rev_2:24), denote his subtle and hidden workings, as he seduces and leads astray by his false ways and doctrines.<\/p>\n<p>5. Confinement of Satan in the abyss for a thousand years, where he is kept while Christ reigns\u2014Rev_20:1-3.<\/p>\n<p>6.
