Attention is called to certain women in connection with the words, \u201cThis woman.\u201d<\/p>\n
1. A Memorial Act. \u201cThat this woman hath done, shall be told for a memorial of her\u201d (Mat_26:13). Love\u2019s offering leaves a perpetual fragrance behind it.<\/p>\n
2. A Meritorious Act. \u201cThis poor widow hath cast more in\u201d (Mar_12:43). The worth of a gift is not estimated by amount, but by the heart that moves the hand.<\/p>\n
3. A Meanful Act. Christ spoke of \u201cthis woman\u201d who washed His feet and wiped them with her hair, and saw beneath her acts her burning heart of love. When love feeds the hearth of the heart, how brightly the fire doth burn\u2014Luk_7:44-46.<\/p>\n
4. A Miserable Act. \u201cThis woman was taken in adultery, in the very act\u201d (Joh_8:4). If every sinner was discovered in sinning, what revelations there would be!<\/p>\n
5. A Memorable Act. \u201cThis woman was full of good works\u201d (Act_9:36). The summary of her life\u2019s ministry is a beautiful testimony to the work of Dorcas.<\/p>\n
6. A Musical Act. \u201cShe,\u201d or \u201cThis woman (Phebe) hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also\u201d (Rom_16:2). The music of Phebe\u2019s service caused a note of praise to be struck in Paul\u2019s commendation.<\/p>\n
7. A Ministering Act. \u201cShe,\u201d or \u201cThis woman gave thanks unto God\u201d (Luk_2:38). Anna was singular in her perception and praise, hence her adoration and worship.<\/p>\n
