909. Two Natures<\/p>\n
The two natures\u2014Joh_3:6. Naturally we are the children of wrath\u2014Eph_2:3; but through faith in Christ we are made partakers of the Divine nature\u20142Pe_1:4, R.V., margin, \u201ca Divine nature.\u201d<\/p>\n
I. The natural man is a sinner in a threefold sense.<\/p>\n
1. By his connection with Adam\u2014Rom_5:13.<\/p>\n
2. Because he has Adam\u2019s nature\u2014Gen_5:3; Rom_3:10.<\/p>\n
3. Because he has committed sins\u2014Rom_8:5.<\/p>\n
II. Those who are believers in Christ are saints in a threefold sense.<\/p>\n
1. Because we are identified with Christ\u20141Co_1:2.<\/p>\n
2. Because we have the nature of God\u2014Joh_1:12, Joh_1:13.<\/p>\n
3. Because as saints we live saintly lives\u2014Eph_5:3.<\/p>\n
