984. Word of God<\/p>\n
Seven things are said, or implied, of the Word of God in Heb_4:12.<\/p>\n
1. Divine in its source, hence, it is called \u201cthe Word of God.\u201d<\/p>\n
2. Living in its nature, for it is \u201cquick,\u201d or living.<\/p>\n
3. Powerful in its working, hence, it is said to be \u201cpowerful.\u201d<\/p>\n
4. Keen in its operation, hence, it is \u201csharper than any two-edged sword.<\/p>\n
5. Minute in its dividing, hence, it is said to be able to divide between soul and spirit, etc.<\/p>\n
6. Critical in its analysis, hence, it is a \u201cdiscerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.\u201d<\/p>\n
7. Double in its make, hence, it is called a \u201ctwo-edged sword.\u201d<\/p>\n
