David Platt may be known for his radical<\/em> ways, but when he stepped to the stage January 5 at the 2019 CROSS conference, no one expected to get a 50-point sermon.<\/p>\n

Platt, who preaches for nearly six hours during his annual Secret Church events, made it through the entire book of Revelation and all 50 points in about an hour at the missions conference in Louisville, Kentucky.<\/p>\n

The points included 48 characteristics of Jesus and a pair of exhortations. Video of the sermon (and others from the conference) can be seen at cross19.thegospelcoalition.org.<\/p>\n

Thabiti Anyabwile was live tweeting the 50 points. Here they are in their entirety:<\/p>\n

  20. Jesus is the conquering Lion<\/li>\n
  21. Jesus is the slaughtered Lamb<\/li>\n
  22. Jesus is the sovereign Lord<\/li>\n
  23. Jesus\u2019 worth is undisputed<\/li>\n
  24. Jesus\u2019 work is unforgettable<\/li>\n
  25. Jesus\u2019 worship is universal<\/li>\n
  26. Jesus is the author of our salvation<\/li>\n
  27. Jesus is the shepherd of our souls<\/li>\n
  28. Jesus is the source of our satisfaction<\/li>\n
  29. Jesus is the groom who chooses us as His bride<\/li>\n
  30. Jesus is the God who makes us beautiful<\/li>\n
  31. Jesus is the faithful witness<\/li>\n
  32. Jesus is the righteous judge<\/li>\n
  33. Jesus is the divine warrior<\/li>\n
  34. Jesus\u2019 eyes have flaming fire<\/li>\n
  35. There are many crowns on Jesus\u2019 head<\/li>\n
  36. There is much mystery to Jesus\u2019 name<\/li>\n
  37. Jesus conquers God\u2019s enemies<\/li>\n
  38. Jesus reveals God\u2019s Word<\/li>\n
  39. Jesus rules the nations of the world<\/li>\n
  40. Jesus treads the wine press of God\u2019s wrath<\/li>\n
  41. Jesus is King of kings<\/li>\n

  43. Jesus will usher us into the presence of God<\/li>\n
  44. Jesus will completely undo the curse of God<\/li>\n
  45. Jesus will open our eyes to the face of God<\/li>\n

  47. Jesus will share His reign with us<\/li>\n
  48. Jesus will come back for us<\/li>\n
  49. Pursue Jesus as the all-consuming passion of your life<\/li>\n
  50. Spend your life for the fame of Jesus\u2019 name where He is not yet known<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
