{"id":32382,"date":"2022-09-10T16:07:25","date_gmt":"2022-09-10T21:07:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/sermons\/christianity-today-the-gospel-coalition-name-top-books-of-the-year\/"},"modified":"2022-09-10T16:07:25","modified_gmt":"2022-09-10T21:07:25","slug":"christianity-today-the-gospel-coalition-name-top-books-of-the-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/sermons\/christianity-today-the-gospel-coalition-name-top-books-of-the-year\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Christianity Today,\u2019 The Gospel Coalition Name Top Books of the Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-image size-full wp-image-96014\">Burst photo &#8211; Pexels<\/div>\n<p><em>By Joy Allmond<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the time of year when bibliophiles wait with baited breath to line up their reading lists to conquer once the calendar flips.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not only Christmastime; it\u2019s book-of-the-year season.<\/p>\n<p>Winning the <em>Christianity Today<\/em> Book of the Year award\u2014\u201cThe release that best embodies our pursuit of Beautiful Orthodoxy,\u201d according to their website\u2014is Russell Moore\u2019s <em>The Storm-Tossed Family<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe explains persuasively how the church is our first family while giving practical, realistic direction in how to nurture and maintain a healthy, biblical family life, one that reflects the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord,\u201d wrote Mark Galli, <em>Christianity Today<\/em> editor-n-chief.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn other words, he tells the truth about what it means to be a biblical family (orthodoxy) and does so in a way that makes the family good news (beautiful).\u201d<\/p>\n<div class='code-block code-block-1' style='margin: 8px 0;clear: both'> <\/div>\n<p>The Gospel Coalition also weighed in on 2018 top releases.
