(We asked this question 10 years ago, and then 39% said they do.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About 4 out of 10 Americans who attend a Protestant church regularly say they drink alcohol. Six out of 10 say they do not.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>23% say that scripture indicates we should never drink alcohol (smaller than those who say they don\u2019t drink alcohol).<\/li>\n<li>55% agree that Scripture indicates all beverages can be consumed without sin.<\/li>\n<li>87% agree that Scripture indicates that people should never get drunk.<\/li>\n<li>54% agree that Christians are exercising biblical liberty when they partake of alcohol in reasonable amounts.<\/li>\n<li>6 out of 10 churchgoers agree that when Christians partake of alcohol socially, they can cause other believers to stumble or be confused.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"clear:both;margin-top:0em;margin-bottom:1em\">\n<div class=\"centered-text-area\">\n<div class=\"centered-text\" style=\"float: left\">\n<div class=\"ueb42b13d36f36d1bfbbae2c08e93d666-content\">See also&nbsp; Most Open to Spiritual Conversations, Few Christians Speaking<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ctaButton\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Be sure to Tweet your questions and comments to us: @LifewayResearch and individually: @smcconn, @statsguycasey, and @lizettebeard.
