“Swimming with the sharks” took on new meaning at a Korean aquarium recently.<\/p>\n

An older sand tiger shark at Seoul’s COEX Aquarium recently ended a territorial dispute with a young male shark by devouring him whole.<\/p>\n

According to a Jan. 29, 2016, UPI story, the 8-year-old female shark, 7.2 feet long, began eating the 5-year-old 3.9 foot long male shark, head first. The victorious shark slowly ate her rival, one bite at a time, until only his tail was sticking out of her mouth.<\/p>\n

Aquarium officials explain that the female shark probably will “regurgitate its swallowed rival during the next few days, as she is unlikely to be able to digest the entire fish.”<\/p>\n

Pardon me if I skip that part of the marine performance.<\/p>\n
