(Ghana)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-content\">\n<p>Jesus was asked which commandment was the greatest. This was His answer, &ldquo;You shall <strong>love the Lord your God <\/strong>with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall <strong>love your neighbor as yourself<\/strong>. 40 On these<strong> two commandments depend all the Law <\/strong>and the Prophets.&rdquo; Matthew 22:37-40 (ESV)<\/p>\n<p>Thus <strong>God&#039;s Law of Love summarizes and fulfills all the Ten Commandments<\/strong>. We are to love God supremely and to love each other as ourselves.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jesus even added a <strong>new commandment <\/strong>of love. Here Jesus stressed the importance of loving other believers when He instructed, &ldquo;A new commandment I give to you, that you <strong>love one another; as I have loved you<\/strong>, that you also love one another.&rdquo; John 13:34 (NKJV)&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This commandment goes <strong>beyond <\/strong>loving our neighbor as ourselves. Just as Jesus died for us, we should be willing to <strong>die for each other<\/strong>. 1 John 3:14, 16 (NKJV), 14 &ldquo;We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren&#8230; 16 By this we know love, because <strong>He laid down His life for us<\/strong>. And <strong>we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren<\/strong>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the Ten Commandments definitely guide and benefit Christians.
