The location of the final battle is Jerusalem<\/strong>, not the USA. Joel 3:12, 14, 16-17 (KJV), 12 “Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen<\/strong> round about. … 16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem;…the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. 17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy,…”.<\/p>\n

The valley of Jehoshaphat separates Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives. We learn more about this valley in Zechariah 14:2-4, 8-9 (NIV), 2 “I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem<\/strong> to fight against it;… Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. 3 Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations<\/strong>, as he fights on a day of battle. 4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, … 8 On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem<\/strong>,… in summer and in winter. 9 The LORD will be king over the whole earth<\/strong>. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name."<\/p>\n

Yes, there will certainly be great tribulation around the world. Jesus said, "For then there will be great distress, unequaled<\/strong> from the beginning of the world until now–and never to be equaled again." Matthew 24:21 (NIV).  However, Armageddon is a preparation for Christ’s kingdom on earth. Daniel 2:44, “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom<\/strong> that will never be destroyed,… It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end<\/strong>, but it will itself endure forever<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

Mankind will not need to endure this trouble for long. Jesus assured us, “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but…those days will be shortened.”<\/strong> Matthew 24:22 (NIV).  Finally, “On this mountain (Christ’s Kingdom on earth<\/em>) the LORD Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples<\/strong>, a banquet of aged wine–the best of meats and the finest of wines. … 8 he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The LORD has spoken.” Isaiah 25:6,8 (NIV)<\/p>\n
