(Kenya)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-content\">\n<p>When we accept Jesus as our Savior and consecrate our whole life to do God&#039;s will, our wealth belongs to God. We need not worry about keeping it safe. We use the spirit of a sound mind to store our funds, but then we use our resources to support ourselves and to use all the rest in God&#039;s service.?<\/p>\n<p>There is nothing wrong with gaining interest through a bank. Even in a parable, Jesus taught, &ldquo;Then another (s<em>ervant)<\/em> came, saying, &lsquo;Lord, here is your pound, which I kept laid away in a napkin; &#8230;&nbsp; (J<em>esus responded)<\/em> 23 Why then did you not put my money into the bank, and at my coming I should have collected it with interest?&rsquo;&rdquo; Luke 19:20, 23 (RSV) But we should never collect interest from our brethren in Christ or from those in poverty.?<\/p>\n<p>?If we try to be wise, God will protect our resources. But sometimes God permits our earthly situation to change. As the Apostle Paul wrote, &ldquo;I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of <em>being content in any and every situation,<\/em> whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.&rdquo; Philippians 4:12-13 (NIV)&nbsp;<strong> ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>??<\/strong>Worrying about wealth, where to grow and to store it, is the <em>wrong focus <\/em>of our lives. Paul wrote, &ldquo;But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8 Indeed <em>I count everything as loss <\/em>because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as refuse, in order that I may gain Christ &#8230; 10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 that if possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead. 12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect; but <em>I press on to make it my own,<\/em> because Christ Jesus has made me his own. 13 Brethren, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but o<em>ne thing I do,<\/em> forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 <strong><em>I<\/em><\/strong><em> press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call o<\/em>f God in Christ Jesus.&quot; Philippians 3:7-8. 10-14 (RSV)<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When we accept Jesus as our Savior and consecrate our whole life to do God&#039;s will, our wealth belongs to God.
