(Russia)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-content\">\n<p>Lucifer (or Satan) spoke through the serpent. Why would Lucifer lie? Isaiah 14:12-14 (NKJV), &ldquo;How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground,&hellip;you have said in your heart: &lsquo;I will ascend into heaven, I will<strong> exalt my throne<\/strong> above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will <strong>ascend above<\/strong> the heights of the clouds, <strong>I will be like the Most High<\/strong>.&rsquo;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Lucifer wanted power and a kingdom. He wanted to be a king over mankind. God never gave him that position, so he <strong>tried to usurp God&rsquo;s position.<\/strong> He knew if Adam and Eve sinned, they would be cast out of the Garden of Eden. He knew they would be <strong>alienated from God<\/strong>. He knew they and all of their children would die, but he didn&rsquo;t care. He wanted power. So he lied.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus identified the devil as the father of lies. John 8:44 (ESV), &ldquo;&hellip;He was a <strong>murderer from the beginning<\/strong>, and does not stand in the truth, because there is <strong>no truth in him<\/strong>. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for <strong>he is a liar and the father of lies<\/strong>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Our lesson is to <strong>obey and to humble<\/strong> ourselves before Jehovah God. Even when we may not understand why, let us always remember Jesus&rsquo;s words in the Garden of Gethsemane, &ldquo;<strong>not my will, but Thine, be done<\/strong>&hellip;&rdquo; Luke 22:42.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lucifer (or Satan) spoke through the serpent.
