(Cameroon)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-content\">\n<p><strong>Sin is lawlessness<\/strong>, disobeying God&rsquo;s righteous, the just law of love.&nbsp;Jesus summarized God&rsquo;s law in Luke 10:27 (NIV), &ldquo;&lsquo;<strong>Love the Lord your God<\/strong> with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind&rsquo;; and, &lsquo;<strong>Love your neighbor as yourself<\/strong>.&rsquo;&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Apostle Paul explained God&rsquo;s law with respect to our fellow man as follows: &ldquo;Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore<strong> love is the fulfilling of the law<\/strong>.&rdquo; Romans 13:10.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Romans 3:23 teaches, &ldquo;<strong>all have sinned<\/strong>, and come short of the glory of God&hellip;&rdquo;&nbsp; We want to<strong> run away from sin for the<em> love of God<\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em> We may not always understand God&rsquo;s ways, but obeying Him always <strong>brings blessings<\/strong>. Isaiah 55:8-9, &ldquo;For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are<strong> my ways higher than your ways<\/strong>, and my thoughts than your thoughts.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>How can we overcome sin? Start with Romans 6:12 (NIV), &ldquo;Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you <strong>obey its evil desires<\/strong>.&rdquo;&nbsp; We fight evil by turning away from our passions and by <strong>turning to God<\/strong> for His mercy, love, guidance. We ask God to direct our lives.
