Why? David was the psalmist but Solomon\u2019s name is not found among RIGHTEOUS people. Why? Samuel was a high priest but his sons were notorious?. Why?&#8230; If they couldn\u2019t save their own family members, then what was the use of being a prophet, patriarch, or high priest? So confused. (India)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>These righteous men of old suffered grief and loss because some of their children did not follow God. Yet, when people are developed and <strong>matured through their suffering<\/strong>, they <strong>become compassionate, godly<\/strong> people.<\/p>\n<p>These faithful ones will be <strong>rewarded on earth<\/strong> to become the human representatives of Christ\u2019s spiritual reign. God said, \u201cI will <strong>restore your leaders as in days of old<\/strong>, your rulers as at the beginning,\u201d Isaiah 1:26 (NIV). They will be princes over the whole earth. Psalm 45:16, \u201cInstead of Your fathers (<em>the righteous of old<\/em>) shall be(<em>come<\/em>) Your sons, Whom You (<em>Christ and the church<\/em>) shall make <strong>princes in all the earth<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It will be Jesus and His church who will elevate these righteous ones to this high ruling position. Because, \u201cAll these were <strong>approved through their faith<\/strong>, but they did not receive what was promised (<em>an earthly resurrection and paradise<\/em>), since God had provided something better for us (<em>a heavenly resurrection<\/em>), so that they would not be <strong>made perfect<\/strong> without us.\u201d Hebrews 11:39-40 (CSB).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Because<\/strong> these people have proven faithful, they will be <strong>qualified to instruct mankind<\/strong> in righteousness. Isaiah 2:3 (NIV), \u201c\u2018He (<em>God<\/em>) will teach us about\u00a0his\u00a0ways so that we may walk in\u00a0his\u00a0paths.\u2019 For instruction will\u00a0go out\u00a0of\u00a0Zion (<em>the spiritual Christ and his church<\/em>) and the word of\u00a0the\u00a0LORD from\u00a0Jerusalem (<em>the faithful people of old<\/em>).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Respecting your concern about salvation, <strong>salvation <\/strong>is <strong>based on Christ<\/strong>\u2019s sacrifice &#8211;<strong> not on the merit of their parents<\/strong>. Thankfully, the opportunity to receive<strong> eternal salvation<\/strong> is <strong>not limited to this life <\/strong>alone. Jesus \u201cbrought life and <strong>immortality to light<\/strong> through the gospel.\u201d (2 Timothy 1:10)\u00a0 This is the heavenly reward.<\/p>\n<p>But the vast majority of mankind will be offered life during Christ\u2019s reign. Then \u201cthe Spirit and the bride (<em>the spiritual class, Christ and His bride<\/em>) say, \u2018Come!\u2019 And let him who hears say, \u2018Come!\u2019 And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.\u201d Revelation 22:17. This is the opportunity of salvation offered in the resurrection age. It is to \u201c<strong>whoever desires<\/strong>.\u201d Each needs to make up his own mind.<\/p>\n<p><strong>God\u2019s benevolent purpose<\/strong> is to have heaven and earth live in accord with his perfect righteous will. \u201c\u2026the <strong>purpose <\/strong>which He has cherished in His own mind of <strong>restoring the whole creation to find its one Head in Christ<\/strong>; yes, things in Heaven and things on earth, to find their one Head in Him.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Ephesians 1:9, 10 (Weymouth)<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jacob was a patriarch but his prayer did not save his sons except Joseph.
