The throne scene in Revelation 5 uses a throne symbol to teach God has a seat of power; however, the description is not literal. 1 John 3:2 reads, “…it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.” The Apostle John was teaching us that we cannot understand the spirit world.

Respecting the second part of your question, will God make heaven on this earth, we can say yes! God will make the Earth a place that the human race will rejoice in. At our Lord’s second advent, there will be “times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken…” Acts 3:21. Restitution or restoration is the promise given to mankind as a result of Jesus’s sacrifice. And what is to be restored? That which was lost. Man lost perfect life as well as a home on earth to enjoy.

Isaiah wrote about this restoration in Isaiah 35:1-2, 5-7 (NKJV), “…the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice,…Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing.
