No. <\/strong>God had made a covenant <\/strong>with Abraham and his descendants to give them the land of Canaan. Genesis 13:14-15, “…God said to Abram, Lift your eyes now and look…northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land<\/strong> which you see I give to you<\/strong> and your descendants forever<\/strong>.” <\/p>\n

Years later, Jacob and his sons settled in Egypt in order to survive the famine. But God had promised Israel their own<\/strong> land. Thus, God through Moses commanded Pharaoh to let His people go<\/strong>. Pharaoh did not want to lose his slave labor. He refused. As a consequence<\/strong>, God sent ten plagues.<\/p>\n

The difference between the plagues and the corona virus is God has not made a covenant with any Gentile nation <\/strong>– including the United States. Mankind is pursuing its own course sometimes wise, sometimes unwise. Therefore, God is not ordering anyone to release mankind<\/strong> from bondage or else<\/strong> we will be plagued with disease.<\/p>\n

Since Jesus’s first advent, mankind has experienced many evils. “…the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences<\/strong>, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.” Matthew 24:6-8. None <\/strong>of these events were sent from God<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Is the corona virus part of the seven last plagues of Revelation 16? No. Revelation is a book of symbols<\/strong>. For example, in Revelation 19:11, 14, Jesus does not <\/strong>return riding a literal white horse<\/strong>; His heavenly army is not clothed in literal linen. In the same way, the description <\/strong>of the plagues is not literal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now, mankind is suffering as the inevitable consequence of their evilness<\/strong>. God’s law is “…a person will reap what he sows<\/strong>,” Galatians 6:7 (NET)  Trouble will intensify because sinfulness intensifies. “In the last days<\/strong>, grievous times<\/strong> will come. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,” 2 Timothy 3:1-5. Trouble intensifies as sin increases<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Our current situation<\/strong> is part of “earth nations will be in distress<\/strong>, anxious <\/strong>over the roaring of the sea (restless masses<\/em>) and the surging waves (demands of justice, rights, freedom, etc.<\/em>)…People will be fainting from fear<\/strong> and from the expectation of what is coming on the world, for the powers of the heavens (ecclesiastical powers<\/em>) will be shaken.” Luke 21:25-26 (NET)<\/p>\n

God has determined to end this present evil world (Galatians 1:4) through Armageddon<\/strong>. Zechariah 14:2-3, 8-9, “For I will gather all the nations<\/strong> to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken…Then the LORD will go forth and fight<\/strong> against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle…And in that day it shall be that living waters shall flow from Jerusalem,<\/strong>…In both summer and winter it shall occur. And the LORD shall be King over all the earth<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n
