There is only one Almighty God. Isaiah 46:9, “I am God<\/strong>, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me<\/strong>.” Jesus never<\/strong> said He was God. He always said He was the Son<\/strong> of God. He taught “my Father is greater than I<\/strong>,” John 14:28. Jesus submits Himself<\/strong> to God. “Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him<\/strong> who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.” 1 Corinthians 15:28.<\/p>\n

However, there is unity between God and Jesus – a unity of love and of purpose<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Jesus prayed in John 17:7-8, 11, 21-23, “Now they have known that all things which You have given Me<\/strong> are from You<\/strong>. For I have given to them the words which You have given Me<\/strong>; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You<\/strong>; and they have believed that You sent Me<\/strong>…Holy Father, keep…those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are…that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You<\/strong>; that they also may be one in Us…<\/strong>And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one<\/strong>: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one…”<\/p>\n

Note: the true Church<\/strong> of faithful Christians has also been invited to share in this unity<\/strong>. And we rejoice to follow our Savior.<\/p>\n

God and Jesus are Distinct.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

God is always the Almighty God, Jehovah.<\/strong> Jesus is His Only Begotten Son<\/strong> (John 3:16). God directly begat only<\/strong> Jesus (Jesus was called the Word). All other beings in heaven and on earth were planned by God<\/strong> and created by the Logos<\/strong>. John 1:3, “All things were made through<\/strong> Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”<\/p>\n

Jesus had a beginning<\/strong> when God begat him. But God is eternal<\/strong>. Psalm 90:2, “from everlasting to everlasting<\/strong>, You are God.” Jesus died<\/strong>; God cannot die<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
