God made Adam and Eve in His own image, Genesis 1:26-28 (NKJV). The image of God does not refer to His physical likeness. It refers to God’s spiritual likeness. God is all loving, just, wise and powerful<\/strong>. Perfect man is a manifestation of these attributes. Sinful mankind has been losing God’s image for over 6,000 years. <\/p>\n

An aspect of God’s image is man’s rulership over the lower creation. Genesis 1:26, “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish<\/strong> of the sea, over the birds <\/strong>of the air, and over the cattle<\/strong>, over all the earth <\/strong>and over every creeping thing<\/strong> that creeps on the earth.’” Man was never given dominion over other men<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The blackman and the whiteman are all descendants of Adam and Eve. Acts 17:26 (NIV): “From one man he made every nation of men<\/strong>, that they should inhabit the whole earth…” Thus, all men were to reflect God’s image. <\/p>\n

God is for all men<\/strong> – the blackman and the whiteman. But God is neither the blackman nor the whiteman<\/strong>. Jesus taught, “be sons <\/strong>of your Father<\/strong> who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good<\/strong>, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” Matthew 5:45 (ESV) “God does<\/strong> not show favoritism<\/strong>.” Romans 2:11 (NIV).<\/p>\n

Finally, God sent Jesus to be a ransom for the blackman, the whiteman, and all men. “For Christ<\/strong> also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God<\/strong>, being put to death in the flesh.” 1 Peter 3:18.<\/p>\n

Will the blackman, the whiteman, and all men ever live together in equality<\/strong> and harmony? Yes<\/strong>, when Christ establishes his rulership<\/strong> over all the earth. Micah 4:2-4 (NKJV), “…He will teach us<\/strong> His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.’ For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. He shall judge <\/strong>between many peoples, And rebuke strong nations<\/strong> afar off; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword <\/strong>against nation, <\/strong>Neither shall they learn war anymore. But everyone shall sit under his <\/strong>(own<\/em>) vine and under his fig tree<\/strong>, And no one shall make them afraid; For the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken.”<\/p>\n
