Yes, fear is tormenting. But, dear one, God does not want you to fear. Instead, remember 1 John 4:16 (NIV), “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us<\/strong>. God is love.” \u200b<\/p>\n

When we believe this truth, we trust and live in God’s love. “There is no fear in love<\/strong>; but perfect love casts out fear<\/strong>, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” (1 John 4:18, ESV) \u200b<\/p>\n

None of us can ever be perfect in love while in the flesh. But we can grow in love. And as our love matures, the fears disappear<\/strong>. We learn to abide in God’s tender care.\u200b<\/p>\n

Spirit-begotten Christians have the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul wrote, “For God<\/strong> has not given us the spirit of fear<\/strong>, but of power and of love <\/strong>and of a sound mind<\/strong>,” 2 Timothy 1:7. If we fear, we have the spirit of an unbalanced mind<\/strong>, a mind that is not understanding reality<\/strong>. The reality is God is in charge and He is caring for us. \u200b<\/p>\n

So, if God hasn’t given you the spirit of fear, who has? Think about it.<\/p>\n
