James 4:8 (NIV), "Come near to God and he will come near to you<\/strong>. Wash<\/strong> your hands, you sinners, and purify<\/strong> your hearts, you double-minded<\/strong>." When we approach God, we should come with pure, sincere, humble hearts. If we are sinning, we need to "wash," – stop sinning and ask for forgiveness through Jesus.<\/p>\n

We are also not to come with a hidden agenda (double-mindedness). This means we are not to read the Bible looking for a verse to justify our beliefs and actions. We come with the single focus to learn<\/strong> and understand our wonderful Father. God will reward the pure, humble seeker. God promises to come close to you!<\/strong><\/p>\n
