The ability to “change” genders is recent and is not addressed in the Bible. However, in the past, people would cross-dress<\/strong> and try to behave like a person of the opposite sex. This practice is condemned<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“A woman shall not wear man's clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination<\/strong> to the LORD your God,” Deuteronomy 22:5.<\/p>\n

If even acting and dressing as the opposite sex is an abomination, then receiving medical transgender treatment would also be against God’s arrangements.<\/p>\n

How might a person live with these feelings?<\/p>\n

“Therefore submit to God<\/strong>. Resist<\/strong> the devil and he will flee<\/strong> from you,” James 4:7.<\/p>\n

“But you, O man of God, flee <\/strong>these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness<\/strong>,” 1 Timothy 6:11. <\/p>\n

“Flee also youthful lusts<\/strong>; but pursue righteousness<\/strong>, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart,” 2 Timothy 2:22.<\/p>\n

We all have sin<\/strong>ful tendencies. We don’t act <\/strong>on them. As we establish righteous habits, we grow stronger in the Lord. “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials…If any of you lacks wisdom<\/strong>, let him ask of God<\/strong>, who gives to all<\/strong> liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
