It means &ldquo;<strong>without law<\/strong> or lawlessness&rdquo;. Apostle John shows how iniquity (lawlessness) is connected to sin. 1 John 3:4 (CSB), &ldquo;Everyone who commits sin practices lawlessness (iniquity); and <strong>sin is lawlessness (iniquity)<\/strong>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Jesus explained what God&rsquo;s law is in Matthew 22:37-40, &ldquo;Jesus said to him, &lsquo;You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.&rsquo; This is <em>the<\/em> first and great commandment. &ldquo;And the second is like it: &lsquo;You shall love your neighbor as yourself.&rsquo; &ldquo;On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.&rdquo; Thus, whenever we fall short of obeying God&rsquo;s law of love, we are committing sin and are breaking God&rsquo;s laws.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Let us be thankful that Jesus died for our sins and redeems us from our iniquities. Now, true Christians (<em>the church<\/em>) are covered by the blood of Jesus and are being transformed. &ldquo;He gave himself for us to<strong> redeem us from all lawlessness <em>(iniquity<\/em>)<\/strong> and to cleanse for himself a people (<em>church class<\/em>) for his own possession, eager to do good works,&rdquo; Titus 2:14 (CSB).
