Matthew 26:50, &quot;But Jesus said to him, &#039;Friend, why have you come?&#039; Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took Him.&quot;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Greek&nbsp;word for&nbsp;&quot;friend&quot; has the thought of&nbsp;<strong>someone associating<\/strong>&nbsp;with you, but&nbsp;<strong>not&nbsp;<\/strong>the thought of&nbsp;<strong>a follower or disciple<\/strong>. If Judas had been &quot;following&quot; God&#039;s will, Judas would never have betrayed our Lord. Similarly,&nbsp;in the parable of the wedding garment, the person not wearing the garment is also addressed as a friend or associate. Matthew 22:12, &quot;&ldquo;So he said to him, &lsquo;Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?&rsquo; And he was speechless.&quot;&nbsp;<strong><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, when and after&nbsp;Judas betrayed Jesus,&nbsp;<strong>Jesus never again&nbsp;identified Judas as His disciple.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When Judas came to betray Jesus, our Lord called him&nbsp;a friend or&nbsp;comrade (not disciple).
