We daily fight against our fallen flesh. As the Apostle Paul wrote, &ldquo;&hellip;For <strong>what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do<\/strong>&hellip;For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For <strong>I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out<\/strong>. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the <strong>evil I do not want to do&mdash;this I keep on doing<\/strong>&hellip;For in my inner being I delight in God&rsquo;s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me,&rdquo; Romans 7:14-25 (NIV).<\/p>\n<p>By God&rsquo;s grace with the help of the Holy Spirit, this fight produces the fruits of the spirit. We develop patience, mercy, long-suffering and love. Thus, we are transformed into His character-likeness (Romans 12:1,2).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When we daily fail, we run to God and confess our sins asking for Jesus&rsquo; blood to cover our imperfections. 1 John 1:9, &ldquo;If we <strong>confess our sins<\/strong>, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to <strong>cleanse us from all unrighteousness<\/strong>.&rdquo; We need to <strong>stay under the Jesus&rsquo; blood<\/strong> to continue to be forgiven and to be transformed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jude 1:21-23 (CSB), &ldquo;&hellip;<strong>keep yourselves in the love of God<\/strong>, waiting expectantly for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life&hellip;have mercy on others but with fear, hating even the <strong>garment defiled by the flesh<\/strong>.&rdquo; It is only by continually staying under Jesus&rsquo; atoning blood that we stay in God&rsquo;s love.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As we all know, after we accept Jesus as our Savior, we will continue to sin.
