As we all know, after we accept Jesus as our Savior, we will continue to sin. We daily fight against our fallen flesh. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “…For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do<\/strong>…For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out<\/strong>. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing<\/strong>…For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me,” Romans 7:14-25 (NIV).<\/p>\n

By God’s grace with the help of the Holy Spirit, this fight produces the fruits of the spirit. We develop patience, mercy, long-suffering and love. Thus, we are transformed into His character-likeness (Romans 12:1,2). <\/p>\n

When we daily fail, we run to God and confess our sins asking for Jesus’ blood to cover our imperfections. 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins<\/strong>, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness<\/strong>.” We need to stay under the Jesus’ blood<\/strong> to continue to be forgiven and to be transformed. <\/p>\n

Jude 1:21-23 (CSB), “…keep yourselves in the love of God<\/strong>, waiting expectantly for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life…have mercy on others but with fear, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh<\/strong>.” It is only by continually staying under Jesus’ atoning blood that we stay in God’s love.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
