Please help me with scriptures."},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-content\">\n<p><strong>Jesus is not God.<\/strong>&nbsp;Jesus is the Son of God. When the angel told Mary that she would bear Jesus, the angel explained that the child would be the Son of God. Luke 1:35 (NASB), &quot;The angel answered and said to her, &ldquo;The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>holy Child shall be called the Son of God<\/strong>.&quot; God was Jesus&#039; father, not Joseph (the husband of Mary).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the scriptures identify Jesus as a man (not part man and part God). 1 Timothy 2:5, &quot;For&nbsp;<em>there is<\/em>&nbsp;<strong>one God<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>one mediator&nbsp;<\/strong>between God and men,&nbsp;<strong>the man Christ Jesus,&nbsp;<\/strong>Who gave&nbsp;<strong>himself a ransom<\/strong>&nbsp;for&nbsp;<strong>all<\/strong>, to be testified in due time.&quot;&nbsp;The way the ransom works is the man&nbsp;Jesus took Adam&#039;s punishment in death.&nbsp;It was important that Jesus be a man for only a&nbsp;man could be the ransom equivalent for Adam. Justice required&nbsp;a perfect human man (Jesus)&nbsp;for a perfect human man (Adam).&nbsp;&nbsp;1 Corinthians 15:22, &quot;For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.&quot; This gospel or good news will &quot;be testified in due time&quot; &#8211; during Christ&#039;s 1,000 year reign on earth.<br \/> &nbsp;<br \/> There is a <strong>oneness or&nbsp;unity of purpose between Jesus and God.<\/strong> Additionally, there is a unity of purpose between God, Jesus, and true Christians.&nbsp;Jesus prayed in&nbsp;John 17:20-23: &quot;Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That&nbsp;<strong>they all may be one; as thou, Father,&nbsp;<\/strong><em><strong>art<\/strong><\/em><strong>&nbsp;in me, and I in thee<\/strong>, that&nbsp;<strong>they also may be one in us<\/strong>: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.&nbsp;And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Jesus never said he was God. In fact he said just the opposite: &quot;&#8230;for&nbsp;<strong>My Father is greater than I<\/strong>,&quot; John 14:28. Jesus even&nbsp;said the words he spoke were not from Him, but from God. John 14:10,&nbsp;&quot;&#8230;The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority&#8230;&quot; Jesus gave all the glory to God and always honored Him.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jesus is not God.&nbsp;Jesus is the Son of God.
