We are living in a great time of trouble, which is frightening to many people.  It is difficult to reassure and encourage others when we ourselves need comforting<\/strong>.  For that comfort we turn to the scriptures.  <\/p>\n

“Let us hold fast<\/strong> the confession of our hope<\/strong> without wavering, for He who promised is faithful<\/strong>; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking <\/strong>our own assembling together<\/strong>, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near<\/strong>.” Hebrews 10:23-25 (NASB)<\/p>\n

“We will be with the Lord forever<\/strong>.  Therefore encourage one another with these words<\/strong>.”  I Thessalonians 4:17, 18 (NIV)<\/p>\n

Because of the trouble in the world, it’s important to meet with other mature Christians in worship and to support each other in love and care. Remember the Apostle Paul’s words, “if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it” (1 Corinthians 12:26) The individual body members of Christ need each other<\/strong> (1 Corinthians 12). How do we support each other? With prayers, with tears, with food, with money, with childcare, with helping meet our brethren’s needs.<\/p>\n

Jesus was not in the world to seek to do things to please himself.  So, we are also to give thought and time to pleasing and encouraging others.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
