{"id":36941,"date":"2022-09-13T13:17:14","date_gmt":"2022-09-13T18:17:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/sermons\/once-we-receive-the-anointing-of-the-holy-spirit-should-we-be-blessed-by-more-future-anointings\/"},"modified":"2022-09-13T13:17:14","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T18:17:14","slug":"once-we-receive-the-anointing-of-the-holy-spirit-should-we-be-blessed-by-more-future-anointings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/sermons\/once-we-receive-the-anointing-of-the-holy-spirit-should-we-be-blessed-by-more-future-anointings\/","title":{"rendered":"Once we receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit, should we be blessed by more future anointings?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-content\">\n<p>The Holy Spirit comes to the church from the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ.&nbsp; When John baptized Jesus at the Jordan River, he was told &quot;&#8230;The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.&quot;&nbsp; (John 1:33) &nbsp; To be baptized [Greek word <em>baptizo<\/em>] means to be immersed or buried.&nbsp; When we whole-heartedly surrender our wills to the will of God, we immerse our whole being into the will of Christ.&nbsp; After we have made the decision to accept Christ as our Head, we receive&nbsp; the &quot;Comforter,&quot; also called&nbsp; &quot;the Spirit of truth&quot; (John 14:16, 17), as our Lord promised, to help us along the Way.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Holy Spirit teaches us, guides us, and enables us to produce&nbsp; &quot;the fruit of the Spirit.&quot;&nbsp; (Galatians 5:22)&nbsp; It also &quot;anoints&quot; us (or <em>authorizes<\/em> us) to play a part in God&#039;s plan for the recovery of mankind from sin and death.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We read in Ephesians 1:22,23 that Christ is the Head, and the church is His body. I Corinthians 12:13, 14 further instructs that the baptism is for the entire body, &quot;By <strong>one Spirit are we all baptized into one body<\/strong>&#8230; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.&nbsp; For the body is not one member, but many.&quot; Finally, Ephesians 4:4,5 specifies there is only one baptism: &ldquo;There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, <strong>one baptism<\/strong>.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the Old Testament Aaron was the first high priest. Jesus is our high priest (Hebrews 7:24-26). The anointing of Aaron with oil (Exodus 30:30), is used as a picture in Psalm 133:1,2.
