Jesus is quite clear when he says in John 14:6, “No one comes to the Father except through me<\/strong>.” It would seem, then, that our relationship with God must be through Jesus. <\/p>\n

In order to have a relationship with God, one must be righteous. However, Romans 3:10 states that “no one is righteous, no not one.” Thus, we are all sinners, and as such, are unfit to come to God. In order to have a relationship with Him, we must have some sort of covering for our sins that could reconcile us to God. This justification comes from Jesus’ sacrifice.<\/p>\n

Sin entered the world through Adam, and the penalty was death. When Jesus, a perfect man without sin, died, he died to pay that ransom price for Adam, which then trickled down to all mankind. “For as in Adam all died, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22). This acts as our covering for our sins, which makes us acceptable to God and at one with Him. <\/p>\n

So, the only way we are able to have a relationship with God is through Jesus and his sacrifice. <\/p>\n

Some other scriptures to consider are:<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 5:21 “For God made Christ<\/strong>, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

1 Timothy 2:5-6 “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself a ransom for all…”<\/p>\n

Romans 3:23-24 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

Romans 5:8-11 “…we have now been justified by his <\/p>\n

[Jesus<\/strong>’<\/strong>] blood<\/strong>…we were reconciled to God by the death of his son…”<\/p>\n

Your relationship with God is a deep and personal reality that can only exist through Jesus because of his sacrifice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
