Our natural, sinful self cannot comprehend God\u2019s calling. 1 Corinthians 1:21, \u201c\u2026the world by wisdom knew not God\u2026\u201d Jesus asked Peter, \u201c\u2026who do you say that I am? And Simon Peter \u2026said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God\u2026And Jesus\u2026said to him\u2026this <strong>knowledge has not come to you from flesh and blood, but from my Father in heaven<\/strong>.\u201d Matthew 16:15-17. So, God must open your heart and understanding to His call. \u201cFor ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many mighty, not many noble, are called: but <strong>God hath chosen<\/strong> the foolish\u2026\u201d 1Corinthians 1:26.<\/p>\n<p>However, do not confuse the high calling to be part of the Church class with the general salvation offered to the world during Christ\u2019s reign. Now, \u201c\u2026many are called, but <strong>few are chosen<\/strong>\u201d (Matthew 22:14) and \u201cthose with him (the Lamb in heaven) are called and chosen and faithful\u201d (Revelation 17:14). But during Christ\u2019s kingdom, \u201c\u2026in Christ shall <strong>all be made alive<\/strong>\u201d (1Corinthians 15:22). \u201cThis is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires <strong>all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth<\/strong>\u201d (1 Timothy 2:4).<\/p>\n<p>Yes, <strong>Jesus is the ransom for all<\/strong>. Few now comprehend and hear the heavenly call to follow Jesus. But during Christ\u2019s 1,000 year reign on earth, all the rest of mankind will be resurrected, healed (Isaiah 35), and taught of God (Jeremiah 31:34). All will have the opportunity to receive eternal life on earth if they obey God\u2019s loving, holy will.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>God is the one who calls a person to be a disciple of Jesus.
