The Bible is also called &ldquo;the Word of God&rdquo;, so the best place to <strong>begin your search for God is to begin by reading and studying the Bible<\/strong>. His &ldquo;word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path&rdquo; Psalm 119:105&nbsp; The study of God&#039;s word will strengthen your faith and lead you closer to God. &ldquo;Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you&hellip;&rdquo; James 4:8<\/p>\n<p>Then ask God to help you <strong>find other believers<\/strong> who share your growing love for Him.&nbsp;This is an important step because we need the example, help, and encouragement of mature Christians. Hebrews 10:25, &ldquo;not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>If you are struggling to find supportive believers, ask God for wisdom to learn where to look. &ldquo;<strong>If you need wisdom, ask our generous God<\/strong>, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.&rdquo; (James 1:5) God knows you need the guidance of other Christians, and He has directed the body of believers to help each other, &ldquo;&hellip;But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked,&rdquo; 1 Corinthians 12:24.<\/p>\n<p>The support of family is a great blessing, and it&#039;s admirable you want your family&rsquo;s help.&nbsp;Many times, when a person makes a life change and begins to follow God&#039;s way, the positive changes in her behavior begin to attract the family to join her.&nbsp;That would be our hope and happy outcome! But even if this does not happen, you are making the best choice to follow God.<\/p>\n<p><strong>God will bring people into your life who will perhaps become closer than natural family.<\/strong> Matthew 12:50,&nbsp;&ldquo;For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.&rdquo; The best choice anyone can make is to seek God, His will and His ways!<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How do I find God?
